3D, 4D, 5D, 6D Lashes. They exist!

You go to the movie theaters to watch 3D films, but did you know that you can go to salons for 3D eyelash extensions?

Don’t second guess yourself. You read that correctly!

Clients expect a noticeable increase in volume when they come in for eyelash extensions. Depending on their personal preferences, clients may expect anywhere from a subtle but noticeable increase in volume to an increase that frees them from mascara on a daily basis. No matter what look they prefer, the fact is that most clients love volume.

With the innovation of new technology, super volume lash techniques have been created in Eastern Europe and are being introduced to women all over the world. These high definition lashes can range from 3D all the way to 6D super volume levels! Here’s how it works. The number you choose determines how many eyelash extensions will be applied to one of your natural lashes. For example, a 3D lash level will have 3 individual eyelash extensions glued to 1 natural lash, and a 6D lash level will have 6 individual eyelash extensions glued to 1 natural lash.

Does Lash Beauty offer these High Definition Lashes?

Due to our concerns of health safety and design, we do not offer the 6D Volume Eyelash Extensions at Lash Beauty. Although the thinnest extensions are used for this technique, the weight of a 6:1 extension to natural lash ratio plus the adhesive will cause stress to the natural lash. Damage such as eyelash thinning or permanent loss can also occur, and the chance of irritation is increased greatly.

Our standard here at Lash Beauty is that no matter how voluminous your eyelash extensions,

we will create them to look like your own natural lashes. Just like the effects of make-up, your eyes should stand out and sparkle even more because of your eyelash extensions, by utilizing different lengths, curls, and thickness levels specific to your eye.

How many “D” volume extensions does Lash Beauty offer?

The simple answer is that we apply one eyelash extension to one natural lash, or “1D”, based on the 6D volume scale. Although we occasionally apply 2 or 3 extensions per natural lash, it depends on the condition of each clients’ natural eyelashes.

However, by applying eyelash extension with different lengths, curls, or thickness levels in a healthy way, we can achieve the 3D look with only 1D volume levels.  How? Enroll in our training program, Lash Artistry Academy, to learn all our tips and tricks!
